Art City Austin (aka: Fine Art Festival) - this weekend!
I'm getting my comfy shoes ready for Art City Austin on Cesar Chavez this weekend! The weather is going to be gorgeous and I'm really looking forward to seeing who's going to be showing their work this year. Hope to see you down there!
Basic event info:
When: April 2-3, 2011. Saturday, 10am to 6pm & Sunday, 11am to 6pm
Where: Cesar Chavez Street from Lavaca Street to just east of Lamar Boulevard, including the 1st Street Bridge | FREE parking + shuttle from AISD lot on West 5th Street
Admission: $8 contribution for adults at the gate | FREE kids 12 and under | FREE admission + shuttle to Austin Museum of Art + The Blanton included | FREE admission when you park your bike at the Mellow Johnny's Bike Valet (1st Street Bridge)
I found Soung Lee (left) at last year's show. This is one of his fabulous woodcuts. Amazingly I had bought one of his pieces 15 years ago in a park in San Francisco!
